Slow September

Pete, Beaker's bassist, will be away all of September. Which means things will be quiet on Beaker's gig front for a while. However, Beaker are going to use this time to come up with some new material which will be aired towards the end of 2006.....
So be patient Beaker fans, we'll be back out on the Edinburgh scene soon.

Yes it's true. Beaker have been quiet of late. The hot Summer and the fact that we are now a whole 1 year old has taken it out of us.
However, we should be recording some new demo's at the SAE in Glasgow next week. When that happens, you can be assured, Beaker will be out there with our new shiney demo CDs, getting new gigs and doing what we do best :o)

Dudes, it is true. beaker have triumphed in the Heriot Watt Annual charity Battle of the Bands Competition. Thanks to all the guys that took part with us. Especially Circus Circus, we love you guys.

Congrats to all those through to the heats for this years T break stage at T in the Park. For beaker, it was not to be. Did we even enter? who can say. but rest assured the fight is not over. we are back together now from our hols and ready to face the world. so you better face up.

we are great. it's tough. just remember, if you're reading this you were here when it all went down. Don't forget to be there; binkies wednesday 15th February 2006, and then Tuesday 21st February 2006 at Heriot Watt Union Galashiels. If you can't make it, we don't need you. But, be sure, if you don't make it, you are going to regret it, forever.

Big and Bad

Happy New Year all. Another outing complete (last night, binkies as ever). First time out with our new 'mean' singer - a they're not talking about his talent. No, Leopoldo D'Acropolis, formerly guitarist in beaker, has been dubbed by many as the new scary man of rock, on stage at least. His imposing demeanour in performance was somewhat dispelled by a distinctly feminine flowery shirt, though this has been put down to bad management.
The band were astounding as ever. still the fresh feel of a group getting to grips with their sound, they nonetheless pleased friends and strangers alike with a repeat set of their last appearance at binkies, just two weeks ago.
If you weren't there, then you don't know; but be certain, the coming weeks and months will be marked by the rise of a new sound in rock. beaker will amaze even you.
